ITINERARY
This tour takes us past many of the fascinating sights of London's West End, including Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly Circus, The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Harrods and the Houses of Parliament.

WESTMINSTER ABBEY TOUR. We have a guided tour inside Westminster Abbey, site of many royal coronations of British Kings and Queens since 1066 and where many are laid to rest. Leaving the Abbey by Poets Corner, we go directly to Buckingham Palace for the colourful CHANGING OF THE GUARD. The tour finishes at approx. 12.45.

If Westminster Abbey is closed or the Guard Change is cancelled, we will make an alternative visit or see the Household Cavalry in Whitehall.

Windsor Castle & Runnymede ~ Morning Tour No.8

ITINERARY

WINDSOR CASTLE - A Royal residence since William the Conqueror in the 11th Century and where the present Royal Family still resides. We have a guided tour of the castle precincts which includes the Horseshoe Cloister and Henry VIII's Gateway. We visit ST.GEORGES CHAPEL of the Knights of the Garter fame, followed by the STATE APARTMENTS* which consist of fine tapestries, and masterpieces by Rubens and Van Dyck. After the visit there will be time for shopping in the town before joining our coach for the drive to Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed by King John in 1215. The tour returns to London at approx. 18.00hr.

*If the Queen is in residence or the State Apartments are closed, we will visit QUEEN MARY'S DOLLS HOUSE instead.
